Wellington: Rahul Dravid became the cricketer with most catches when he held on a Tim McIntosh edge off Zaheer Khan on the fourth day of the third and final cricket Test here.
Dravid snapped the catch, his 182nd in 134th Test, at third slip during lunch session in New Zealand second innings to go past former Australian batsman Mark Waugh (181 in 128 Tests).
Elated over his much awaited record, Dravid planted a kiss at the cherry before his teammates huddled around to congratulate him.
The 36-year-old Dravid, who made his Test debut in June 1996 at Lords against England, has scored 10823 runs from 134 matches at an average of 52.53 with 26 hundreds and 57 fifties.
