Kolkata: Sourav Ganguly's fans vented their fury after their idol was replaced as Kolkata Knight Riders captain by New Zealand wicketkeeper Brendon McCullum.
On Friday, Ganguly's fans burnt posters of Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders' owner Shah Rukh Khan.
They blamed Shah Rukh for axing Ganguly, who led the Knight Riders in 2008, from the captaincy.

The fans said they will not accept anyone else in their Dada's place, as he was a far better leader than McCullum.
"The team won't be strong until Ganguly is made the captain. McCullum should be removed and Ganguly should be brought back to captaincy," Rahul Mishra, a protestor demanded.
Fans also burnt the effigies of Knight Riders coach John Buchanan, who had first mooted the multiple captaincy idea last month.
IPL 2009 is scheduled to begin on Saturday.
The matches will be played at eight venues around South Africa, with the final to be held in Johannesburg on May 24.
